Albert Monroe Brown, 94, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2019 at his home in Radford, Virginia. He spent his entire life spreading the Word of God. He was a U. S. Navy veteran having served during WWII. He was born on December 21, 1924.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Saul Wood Brown; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Bill Brown and Wanda of Pearisburg, Dennis and Jean Brown of Rural Retreat, and Rev. Don Brown of New Castle; daughters and son-in-law, Anita Lynn and Bill of Tega Cay, S. C., and Linda Kendrick of Hickory, N. C.; stepchildren, Karen Wood of Radford, and Danny Wood and Doris of Floyd; sister, Louise Ball of Aberdean, Md.; half siblings, Eugene Brown and Shirley Widner, both of Chilhowie; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and many other brothers and sisters in Christ.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Rev. Zane Cox and Bishop Jerry Schall officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
