RADFORD – The Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation, in cooperation with the Virginia Commission of the Arts and Radford City Schools, recently hosted its annual Opera Day on the high school stage.
Students were treated to “The Billy Goats Gruff” featuring performers from the Virginia Opera’s nationally recognized Henderson Foundation Emerging Artists Program, with optional play-by-play commentary that gives audience members insight into this repertoire.
Through business and private donations, the Partners Foundation is proud to bring to our Bobcats in grades 3 through 12 another diverse and unique learning opportunity through music. Additionally, each assembly’s broader message reflects important character education with messages of kindness, tolerance, and acceptance.
