Beatrice Elizabeth Carter Morgan, 87, died on April 13, 2019, at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, FL.  Beatrice was born in Linside, West Virginia on March 15, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Carrie Dickason and the late Raymond Chapman.


Beatrice (Bea) was a lifelong resident of Christiansburg, VA. She was a member of Lighthouse Deliverance Church of God and Christ, Elder Larry Carter Pastor and Watch Member at First Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Fl, Rev. Clifton E. Dollison, Pastor. Due to failing health for the past three and a half years she lived in Winter Haven, FL with her daughter Deborah.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Curtis Carter and Dan Morgan, her Mother Carrie G. Dickason, her father Raymond Chapman, a brother, Spencer Dickason; and one son, Charles Edward Carter.  She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Yulee (Richard) of Columbus , GA; Elder Larry Carter (Holly) of Christiansburg, VA; Deborah Hardee (the late Billy Hardee) of Winter Haven, FL.; three sisters, Maxine Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio; Dorothy Beasley of Christiansburg, VA; and Kathleen Spencer of Christiansburg, VA; 24 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and two very special friends, Rose Holloway of Winter Haven, FL and her neighbor, Barbara Turner of Christiansburg, VA.

The family would like to express their gratitude for your prayers, love and support in this difficult time and special thanks to caregivers: Rose Holloway, Jalisa Franklin, and Annalise Prevalon of Winter Haven, FL.

Arrangements in Florida are being handled by Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Hollandn Parkway, Bartow, FL. Arrangements in Virginia are being handled by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg, VA.

Visitation was held Friday, April 19, 2019 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 500 Stuart Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. Funeral service followed the visitation.
