With springlike temperatures upon us, boaters are hitting the New River for fishing and fun, flowers are blooming and the Radford Veteran;s memorial Garden awaits visitors to pay homage to the city’s war heroes. The Recreation Department’s youth soccer season starts next week, which will fill the park’s playing fields with children and several events are planned in the coming months at the park.
