Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg).
Cinderella came to the Center in the summer with her kittens. They’ve all been adopted, but she’s still here waiting to find her forever home. She might not be friends with mice and birds, like Cinderella in the movie, but she is dreaming of living in a palace (or even an apartment) with her new family.
Just look at those sweet puppy dog eyes! Janet is the most happy-go-lucky and easygoing hound dog. She seems to love just about everything, and she won’t rest until she’s sniffed everything there is to be sniffed. She would run around all day if she could, ears flapping in the wind—but as soon as you start giving her scratches, she goes from 100 mph to zero.

Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome.
