Family-friendly Craft & Draft is a downtown Radford event held in the 3rd Ave. parking lot. The street festival features local artisans, makers, and crafters, all day live music, on-site food and craft beer on tap.

The fourth annual Craft & Draft, presented by local artist gallery and gift shop Green Heron Arts and local non-profit MountainTrotter, will be held from 11a.m. – 7p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 in the 3rd Ave. parking lot in Radford.

“While the event was designed to showcase skilled artisans, Craft & Draft also focuses on the importance of shopping small and having strong camaraderie with the Radford community, it’s citizens, and other small business owners,” Lauri Murphy owner of Green Heron Arts and co-founder of MountainTrotter, said in a release.

The downtown Radford tradition held not far from Radford University, Craft & Draft is a street-style festival, featuring local artisans, makers, and crafters, all day live music, on-site food, and craft beer on tap.

Craft & Draft, in its fourth year, is proud to showcase talented artisans from all over southwest Virginia and surrounding areas, including West Virginia and North Carolina bringing 40 vendors of arts including hand-made silver jewelry, ceramics and pottery, letterpress stationary, sewn goods, clothing, fine art and more.

This year, the festival is welcoming back to the stage, The Antecedents, along with other local bands throughout the day. The Antecedents have previously won Nash Next 2017 and were a featured On The Rise band at Floyd Fest 2018.

Radford’s food truck favorites will be on site, including Thai This Food Truck, Big Rooster’s Wings & BBQ, J&D’s Rockin’ Weenie Wagon, and Scott Doggs.

Walk the entire festival craft beer in hand. Enjoy five craft taps from our beer truck, and select craft brews from Virginia breweries in a variety of styles.

Featuring child-friendly entertainment, this event is enjoyed by all ages (dogs are welcome, too, the announcement said.

“Proceeds from Radford Craft & Draft go right back into our community – we are excited to announce that we’ll be donating a portion of the event’s proceeds to The Radford Animal Shelter,” Murphy wrote.
