Sing Along with the Giles County CommUnity Chorus
3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2
The Giles County Community Chorus will host “Our CommUnity Sings” sing-along from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2 at the Newport Community Center (434 Blue Grass Trail in Newport.
Not a performance, but a participation event that will raise funds for the GCCC and the Giles County backpack program providing weekend meals for underprivileged children in the Giles County elementary schools.

“Read me a Book”

The Southside Garden Club’s juried flower show entitled “Read me a Book,”
interprets some of your favorite books in flowers. Master designers, who have garnered awards at the national level, will be expressing their interpretations of the beauty of flowers and the magic of storytelling. Nationally accredited judges will be presenting awards for both designs and horticulture.
