Eastmont Tomato Festival, Aug. 18

Come to the Meadowbrook Center in Shawsville 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 for local musicians, baby beauty contest, a magician, great food and games!

There will be fried green tomatoes, BLTs, pizzas, tomato sandwiches, tomato biscuits and more. Kids love the ever-popular TomatOlympics, a series of tomato-themed challenges along our crazy obstacle course.

Bring your friends and your entry for the tomato art contests and our tomato recipe contests. You can even bring your own tomatoes for our Biggest, Ugliest and Best-Tasting Tomato contests.

Compete in the Tomato Pageant in your tomato-themed outfit, or find out if you’re the next Tomato-Eating champion. Admission is free.

Montgomery Museum Heritage Days Silent Auction calls for gifts, services, objects and talents

If you have a service, talent, gift item, gift basket, etc. that can be auctioned, we’d love to add you to our list of donors. This is always a fun part of our Heritage Day and the more items/services we can auction, the more fun we’ll have and the more money the Museum will raise. Items can be dropped off at the Museum. Also, if you are willing to solicit businesses or acquaintances for donations to our Silent Auction, we would be grateful. For more information, contact Sue Farrar (Executive Director) at director@montgomerymuseum.org or call her at 540.382.5644.
