The Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation, Inc., along with the Radford City Public Schools, has embarked on a fundraising effort to remodel both the ladies’ and gentlemen’s locker rooms at the Radford High School gymnasium.
Donations can be made by mail to:

Radford, Virginia 24143
Due to the current condition of the facilities, the overall project cost is estimated at $350,000, according to Lee Slusher, director of the foundation.
The School Division has been able to save approximately 50 percent of this needed funding. The Partners for Excellence Foundation has established a fundraising goal of $175,000 to complete the project in the summer of 2019.
To officially kickoff the fundraising campaign, George Harvey, Sr. and Dick Cook, two local business men, have each donated $10,000, for a total of $20,000.
The men are challenging others in Radford to follow their lead by contributing to this “much-needed” update for our Bobcats.
The remodeled locker room facilities will provide quality facilities for our students, as well as, allow for camps and tournaments to be conducted at the RHS gymnasium.
This remodeling effort will be the first of several projects to update the entire gymnasium.
The Partners Foundation was created in 2012 to support and enhance the educational experience of the Radford City Schools students through business and individual partnerships.
The Foundation believes it shares a community responsibility to provide opportunities for our children to be the very best they can be as they learn and grow into the leaders of tomorrow. It believes that investments in their education will have far-reaching effects and lasting rewards.
