Charlie Herbert was presented with the Head Start Alice Taylor Memorial Service Award for his continued and constant presence with Giles County Head Start.
Charlie, who often takes other volunteers with him to the centers, conducts animal yoga sessions with the children every other week for all three Giles classrooms.
He and others also do a seed-to-fork program with the children both in the classroom and at the club’s community garden, where the children get hands-on experience with planting, growing and harvesting vegetables.
We truly appreciate Charlie and his Giles County Lions Club volunteers for their outstanding commitment to our Giles Head Start Program!
