Radford women’s tennis head coach Jessica Giuggioli announced the signing of three future Highlanders on Tuesday morning as Giuggioli concluded her 2018 recruiting class.

“I am very excited about our incoming class,” Giuggioli said. “We have a great mix of talent and I look forward to watching these girls compete in the fall.”

Posted 14-6 record during sophomore season, winning her last 11 matches

Went 5-0 in WAC play

Posted a 12-4 mark in No. 4 singles

Was named to the All-WAC First Team in singles and doubles

Guided University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to the 2018 WAC Regular Season Championship

Giuggioli on Belyaeva: As results show, Anastasia has been an outstanding contributor to UTRGV’s success this year. She is a tough competitor and her determination on the court really makes her stand out.

Marielle Leahy

Freshman | Evans, Georgia | Lakeside High School

Two-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network

Ranked No. 28 player in Georgia

Posted a 21-16 record on amateur circuit

Went 15-4 against No. 1 and No. 2 seeds

Giuggioli on Leahy: Marielle had a great high school career. She loves playing for a team and I’m confident she will make a positive impact on-and-off the court.

Malin Falk

Freshman | Stockholm, Sweden | Lakeside High School

Ranked as high as the No. 9 player in Sweden

Has rating of 9.64 by the universal tennis ratings

Giuggioli on Falk: Malin has very solid strokes and I believe she will be an immediate contributor to our singles and doubles lineup. She also has good experience at the international level, which will serve her well in collegiate tennis.
