RU women’s photo _ Amele Ngwafang (center in RU shirt) has signed on the dotted line to join the Radford University women’s basketball team this fall. She helped lead Paint Bank High School to a 21-4 mark this past season.

Radford University women’s basketball head coach Mike McGuire added the final piece to his 2018 signing class on Thursday with Amele Ngwafang signing her National Letter of Intent to suit up for the Highlanders in the 2018-19 campaign.

“We are excited to announce the signing of Amele Ngwafang to our women’s basketball program. Amele is a strong, physical post with a high motor and competitive spirit. We expect her to be able to provide immediate depth in the post and on the boards,” McGuire said. “We also expect her high-energy, work-ethic and personality to impact right away. Amele was somewhat of an under-the-radar post player in this region and we feel like we have a diamond in the rough. She gives us a well-rounded 2018 class that includes guards Makaila Wilson, Bryonna McClean, and Piper Morningstar.”
