We, along with many others in Radford, believe that David Horton is the better choice for Radford’s new mayor, and we urge voters to cast their ballots for him in the May 1 election.
He is a life-long resident of Radford, educated in our public schools and Radford University.
David understands the issues threatening Radford’s fiscal stability. David is aware of the challenges people on a fixed income face and understands that we must deal with the financial realities of maintaining low property taxes while retaining our current status.
He wants to keep our city status, and he will work hard to ensure our financial credibility, so that we are never forced to give up our right to be a city.
David is looking to the future, and he is filled with energy and enthusiasm for the potential of our city. He loves all things “Radford.”
He consistently participates in community activities and adds his warm and out-going personality to any gathering.
As Mayor, David Horton will be the Voice of Radford and its citizens. He is President of the Radford Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Beautification Commission and employed as a professional at Radford University.
An experienced presenter at local, state and national events both professionally and civically, he has been the “go-to emcee” for multiple civic meetings for the city the last few years.
His wide experience in civic activities and awareness of our community’s concerns will blend to give him a practical understanding of the needs of our community as he serves us with enthusiasm and skill.
We believe David Horton is the better man to lead us into Radford’s future.
