George Carl Graves, age 83, of Long Shop died, Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Montgomery County, VA on Oct. 17, 1933 to the late George Thomas and Eva Smith Graves, he is also preceded in death by his special beloved son Carl Wayne Graves.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Minnick Graves; daughter-in-law, Linda Fisk; sisters, Catherine Caldwell, Vivian Long; special grandchildren, Joseph Fisk and wife, Erin, James C. Fisk and wife, April, Kevin Fisk; great-grandchildren, Victoria Fisk, James A. Fisk, Cody A. Fisk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted today, Oct. 4, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Harless Cemetery, Long Shop with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
