Stories & Science (with Claytor Lake State Park)
March 4, 2-3 p.m.
Ages 5+. Emily Newton, Claytor Lake’s Park Interpreter, will be doing activities and a lesson every week. The activities will change each week, but will include things like coloring, stories, skits, and experiments. Topics covered will also vary, but will include things like plants, flowers, trees, and animals. *No activity next week on March 11, 2017.*


Family Movie Matinee
March 5, 2-4 p.m.
All movies rated PG and family friendly.

Movies for Teens
March 6, 3-5 p.m.
Every Monday at 3 p.m. movies (rated PG13 and below) will be screened in the teen area. Bring your own popcorn.


Teen Story Hour
March 7, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Join us every Tuesday for story hour with Dave. Adults and teens welcome. Come for the coffee, stay for the stories! Call 540-731-3621 each week if you want details on Dave’s weekly reading selections.


Baby & Toddler Storytime
March 8, 10-10:30 a.m.
Every Wednesday and Thursday; 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM (ages 0-2 w/caregiver) Themes: March 1/2 – Animals March 8/9 – Take a ride March 15/16 – Spring March 22/23 – Caldecott


Preschool Storytime
March 8, 2017, 11-11:45 a.m.
Every Wednesday and Thursday. For ages 2+ with caregiver. A craft is offered at all 11 a.m. storytimes.


Brown Bag Book Club
March 8, 12-1 p.m.
Brown Bag Book Club meets at the library every second Wednesday of the month to enjoy discussion about a selected book. Our March selection is: “The Life We Bury” by Allen Eskens.


Processing Workshop for Teens
March 8, 3-5 p.m.
Learn how to use processing (a coding language) to make art.

Meet the author, Steve Huppert
March 9, 2-4 p.m.
Steve Huppert, author of “The Roaring Twenties and The Dirty Thirties with Will Rogers 1918-1936,” will talk about his book and will explore the era of this special time in history with topics spanning jazz, prohibition, aviation and more.


Game Days
March 9, 3-4:30 p.m.
Board games every Thursday for teens, 3-4:30 p.m. and Bingo once a month! Call for specific dates.


Videogames for teens
March 10, 3-4 p.m.
First-come, first-served. The Wii will be set up in the teen area – for teens only. We have some games, but if there is a Wii game you’d like to bring from home, you are welcome to do so.


Silent Film (for adults)
March 10, 6-8 p.m.
Come enjoy a silent film. Call for more information Popcorn will be served.
