Radford Athletics put together a strong performance on and off the field during the fall 2016 season.
The Highlanders captured two Big South Regular Season Championships, one Big South Tournament Championship and a NCAA Tournament appearance. Radford combined for another successful semester in the classroom as 2016 fall semester grades were finalized late last month.
For the 2016 fall semester, the department grade point average (GPA) was 3.24, while the 2015-16 academic year saw over 60 percent of student-athletes finish with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
“Our student-athletes continue to overachieve academically.” said Stephanie Ballein, Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations. “They deserve all the credit for their performance in the classroom. Their approach to academics is no different than game day, they truly prepare to win.”
