Mary Ellen Morris Graham, 82, of McCoy, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at her home. She was born in Christiansburg Feb. 18, 1944, to the late William Taft and Vergie McCoy Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brawner Graham; brothers, Howard Morris, Williard “Wig” Morris and Ronnie Morris; and sisters, Zana Whitaker and Rita Smith.

A Blacksburg High School 1962 graduate, Mary worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Blacksburg Floor Fashions, where she retired.

Raised in McCoy, Mary and Dick built a home there, growing in family and love for each other. Their 52 years of marriage and dedication to one another continues as a testament to others.

Mary was a faithful member of Cornersview Pentecostal Holiness Church and a living reflection of her love for her Savior. She enjoyed cooking for others and was famous for her sourdough bread amongst many other dishes. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, and was an accomplished seamstress.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Faith and Kevin Blankenship; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Lori Graham; grandchildren, Kayla Hill (Todd), Alexandra Eaton (Clint), Emilee Ratliff (Jon Luke), Brianna Amaral (Logan), Daniel Graham; great-grandchildren, Enoch, Rachab, Abby, Ella, and Maddie; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Joel Hart; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Blankenship and Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Interment followed in the McCoy Family Cemetery.  Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at McCoy Funeral Home.

In her last days, she reflected on her beloved Dick’s memory, and her daily quote was, “I’ll be looking for you.” Now, they are both looking for us.
