In the second phase of the project, the town is proposing improvements to the bicycle infrastructure network on the highly traveled route. The Progress Street proposal includes replacing the sharrows with a bicycle lane on Progress Street NW from Broce Drive to Watson Avenue. To make the safety improvements, parking is proposed to be removed from the side of the street with odd addresses from Broce Dr. to Watson Ave. Please visit https://letstalkblacksburg.org/progress-street-bike-improvements to share comments and ask questions by June 26, 2026.
