Blacksburg’s Kenzi Jones set a new school record in the discus with a throw of 128 feet and three inches during a Wednesday afternoon track meet hosted by the Bruins.In the girls 100 m hurdles, Bella Garza (left) took the win for Blacksburg (15.25), with Christiansburg’s Grace Ballard in second at 15.63.Blacksburg’s Sophia Warren placed ninth in the high jump with a clearance of 4′-6″ on Wednesday afternoon at the Bruins home track. Blacksburg took both team titles with Christiansburg second in the girls competition and third in boys.Christiansburg’s Jackson Friend competes in the long jump at Blacksburg on Wednesday. He placed 12th with a mark of 18′-10″.
