Rebecca Willard Ryburn, 68, of Blacksburg, passed away Thursday, Mar. 26, 2026.
She is survived by her mother, Clara Willard; her brother Kevin; her son, Matthew Ryburn; and her husband of 47 years, James T. Ryburn. She was predeceased by her father, Garry Willard, and her brother, Steve Willard.
She was a veteran and served in the Air Force from 1975 to 1979. She met her husband in the Air Force and continued her association with the Air Force as a spouse for another 24 years. She has lived in Korea, Germany, Okinawa, the United Arab Emirates and India. She was an avid traveler and photographer. She was a beekeeper. And she created stained glass art.
Service was graveside at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin Thursday, April 2. She will be buried with military honors.
