Anna Cordelia Akers Hickman departed this life on Nov. 18, 2025. She was born in Radford on Feb. 18, 1931, to Muncie and Anna Akers.

Cordelia joined First Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member of the Deaconess Board, Women’s Bible Study, Usher Board, Pastor’s Aid, and Missionary Society.

She was a volunteer at the Radford Clothing Bank.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Everett Hickman.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Sheila Grant (Greg) of Glen Allen Va., and Sherry Price (Tony) of Pinehurst N.C.; two grandsons, Anthony Price (Pamela), and Jason Price (Katrina); and four great grandchildren, Kylie, Kinsley, Landon, and Laney Price; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at First Baptist Church – Rock Road. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.

The Hickman family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
