Big South Basketball Media Day presented by Food City

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The annual Big South Conference Basketball Media Day presented by Food City will be held today, Wednesday, Oct. 15 at The Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, Tenn., home of the Big South Basketball Championships.

The event tips off the 2025-26 Big South men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

The day will feature all Big South head coaches and student-athlete representatives visiting three local elementary schools for a reading program in the morning.  At 10 a.m., the preseason polls and preseason All-Conference teams will be announced, and following lunch, live interviews on ESPN+, and the Field of 68 Media Network and WXSM Radio will begin at 12:30pm.  Additional interview sessions with local, regional and national media outlets will also take place at that time.

The ESPN+ Live Show will air from 12:30-4 p.m. and features Evan Lepler hosting the head coaches, with analyst and co-host John Williams interviewing the student-athletes. The Field of 68 will live stream interviews with each men’s basketball head coach on YouTube and X from 12:30-3:30 p.m., hosted by Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster.

Fans can follow Media Day activities via the live national broadcasts and on social media using the hashtag #BSCMediaDay.  Additional content specifically for the @BigSouthSports social media platforms will be available throughout the day.  The preseason poll and preseason All-Conference teams will be posted at 10:00am on the Big South’s Social Media accounts, and online at www.BigSouthSports.com.

12:30 p.m. – Show open, preseason all-conference and poll analysis, 12:36 p.m. – Charleston Southern, 12:58 p.m. – Longwood, 1:20 p.m. – Presbyterian College, 1:42 p.m. – USC Upstate, 2:04 p.m. – Winthrop, 2:26 p.m.  – High Point, 2:48 p.m.  – Radford, 3:10 p.m. – Gardner-Webb, 3:32 p.m. – UNC Asheville, and 3:54 p.m. – Commissioner Sherika Montgomery.
