RADFORD – A teenager has died and another has been arrested after a shooting in Radford in the overnight hours of Saturday, Sept. 13.
“On September 13, 2025, at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers with the Radford City Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Downey Street,” the RCPD announced Saturday. “Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
A juvenile suspect has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder, possession of a handgun by a person under 18, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with the shooting.
