Concord opens up October 3 by hosting Fairmont State for homecoming. For a second straight season, the Mountain Lions travel to West Liberty for an October 10 meeting. The next week of the season has CU playing its lone Thursday night game of the season by welcoming the University of Charleston October 15. On October 24, the Mountain Lions travel to West Virginia State.
After playing on the road at WVSU, the Maroon and Gray have consecutive home games with Wheeling (October 31) and Urbana (November 7). The 10-game slate concludes at UNC-Pembroke on November 14.
Game notes:
In a coincidental scheduling twist, the Dave–Walker era at Concord will begin with that game against Glenville State, which is Walker’s alma mater.
2020 will mark the second straight season that Concord will host Fairmont State on Homecoming. It will be the third time in eight seasons that Fairmont State serves as CU’s homecoming opponent.
The Mountain Lions have won their last four trips to West Virginia Wesleyan, dating back to the 2012 season. Three of the four games have been decided by a touchdown or less.
The two meetings between Concord and Urbana at Callaghan Stadium have been decided seven and six points, respectively.
The home game in October will be the first Thursday night game for CU since a home contest against the University of Charleston in September 2018.
