All ages welcome! There are 10 plots available in our garden – this year, you sign up by plot – one plot for a family, or one per individual (up to you!). You choose what to plant, and take the harvest home with you. Priority will be given to those who can attend ALL 6 sessions (June 13-July 25, no session July 4). To register, call 540-731-3621 or email Barbara at barbara.tait@radfordva.gov. *This program is sponsored by the Lamplighters.

Tie-dye Workshop, June 27, 12-1 p.m.

Teens – bring a shirt, socks, pillowcase, or other item you want to tie-dye, and we’ll show you how to do it, and supply the rest of the materials needed! It’s a good idea to wear clothes that you don’t mind messing up – we can provide aprons upon request. This program is sponsored by the Lamplighters.

Story Hour for teens, June 27, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Come for the coffee, stay for the stories! Call us in advance if you’d like details on Dave’s reading selections. Story Hour will run every Tuesday at 4:30p in May, June, and July unless otherwise noted.

Dinner and a Book , June 28, 5 p.m.

Sponsored by RCPS and the Summer Food Program, any child can eat dinner for free at our weekly programs. The whole family welcome – each week a family-friendly selection will be read aloud while you enjoy dinner. Kids eat free, and are served first; adults can eat if supplies last, for $3 – cash or check only, made out to RCPS Cafeteria. Program will run every Wednesday June 14 through August 2.

All ages are welcome for this monthly club (last Thursday in June and July). We will do hands-on activities inspired by favorite books. In June, we will use stop-motion animation to describe our favorite book to a friend. Come with your favorite story fresh in your mind!
