Storytime break, Aug. 6-19

We will be taking a storytime break from August 6-19, 2017. No storytimes during this period. Look for our fall schedule to follow!

Monday Afternoon Book Club, Aug. 14

The Radford Monday Afternoon Book Discussion Group meets in the library’s meeting room on the second Monday of each month at 4:00pm. Everyone interested in these informal discussions is welcome to attend. The August discussion will focus on The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty. Multiple copies of the books being discussed are available to be checked out at the library. 4-5 p.m.

Brown Bag Book Club, Aug. 16

Brown Bag Book Club meets at the library every second Wednesday of the month to enjoy discussion about a selected book. Our August selection is: “A Crack in the Edge of the World” by Simon Winchester. 12 p.m.- 1 p.m.

Know Your Tech, Aug. 16

Get to know your technology at the Radford Library! We will have a selection of electronic devices available for you to play with and learn about with the assistance of our technology librarian. You are also welcome to bring your own device to learn more about it, and how to get the most out of the library’s digital resources. Techno Lunch Hour with Select Reads, Aug. 21

Have lunch on us and learn from RPLs IT Coordinator Duncan how to access and use Select Reads and other online services -FREE- with your library card. *This program is sponsored by the Lamplighters. 12-1 p.m. at the Radford Public Library

Computer Fundamentals, Aug. 29

A computer class for absolute beginners. Learn the basics including computer vocabulary, navigating your computer, and browsing the web. The first six to sign up will get to use library computers for the class. 10-11 a.m. at the Radford Public Library.

Coloring Therapy for Adults, Aug. 30

Set your worries aside and come relax with crayons, markers and coloring pencils! We have the supplies you need and a variety of adult coloring books from which to select your next coloring project. This program is for adults and inner children only! 11:30 - 1 p.m. @ Radford Public Library
