First Baptist Church Women’s Bible Study host 3rd Annual Youth Work Shop

The Women’s Bible Study of First Baptist Church 555 West Rock Road, Radford VA will host its third Youth Workshop, “Love Your Selfie”, on August 3, 4, and 5, 2017. (Appreciating God’s Master Piece in the Mirror) You are a wonderful creation, skillfully and intricately made by God!

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth (Psalm 139:13-15)

The workshop begins tomorrow with FUN DAY. Bouncers will be provided by Dave’s Moonwalk of Roanoke, VA. Pre-registration, games, and fun foods will be provided. THE HOURS for this event will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

On Friday beginning at 5 p.m., the Workshop will convene. Scheduled for the evening are area Praise Dancers, music ministries (with Breyana Smith, Graduate Student at RU), and Theme Actiivies by Alicia Prioleau. This will be followed by Games and prizes as part of the after dinner program. “Calm Down Time” will be a movie and popcorn. Lights out at 11:30 p.m. for the sleepover.

On Saturday, breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m. Gerald Saunders, will be motivational speaker for the morning segment of the workshop following breakfast. Door prizes will be awarded at the close of the workshop. The grand prize of an instant camera along with other gift certificates will be awarded. We encourage both youth and adults to come and go as your time permits. Closing will be by Rev. Jenene Lewis, Associate Minister at First Baptist. Rev. Jenene Lewis is the Women’s Bible Study Instructor and Sister Doris Dobbins is the Coordinator.

The Pastor of First Baptist Church is Rev. C. Coles Casey. The Women’s Bible Study meets on most Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. They are presently studying Max Luckcado’s, Touch of Master Hand and they invite all women to come study with them.
